You pay 25% of the package price in advance to secure your spot. After the interior design is pitched and you're happy, I will send an invoice for the remaining amount. I am aware that a custom interior design is a big investment. That's why I also offer payment plans!

7. How does the payment work?

My goal is for you to truly love your space. If something doesn’t feel like “you,” I’ll keep working with you until it does. I don’t consider a project complete until we’re both genuinely happy with the final result.

6. What if I'm not happy with the design?

Hiring an interior decorator might sound costly, but partnering with Type A Decor often means spending less overall, because you'll avoid costly mistakes and unnecessary purchases. Whether you’re updating your home, office, or commercial space, sharing your budget and goals upfront allows me to provide personalized recommendations that align with your spending plan. My priority is always to help you invest wisely.

Think of our first meeting as a relaxed chat where we explore your vision together. It’s super helpful if you can bring along examples of spaces or styles you love—these can be magazine clippings, photos saved from websites, or even just snapshots you've taken on your phone. And don’t worry if you aren't exactly sure about what you want—knowing what you don't like is equally valuable!

(If we’re meeting virtually for an e-design project, I’ll ask you to take some basic measurements beforehand, just to make sure our ideas fit your space perfectly.)

1. Why do we have to do an introductory call?

Frequently asked questions

5. Is hiring an interior decorator expensive?

3.  What types of clients do you work with?

We first schedule an introductory meeting to see if we are a match, after all, we are going to work on your home interior where you'll be spending most of your time! During this meeting, we will discuss your wishes, needs and see what I can do for you.

2. How do I prepare for our first meeting?

4. Do I need to have a budget before we start?

I work with all kinds of clients—whether you're decorating your very first place, downsizing, or simply ready for a fresh look. My job is to make great design approachable and tailored to you, wherever you are in life.

Yes—a budget isn’t just helpful, it’s required. It allows me to source the right pieces and make smart, tailored recommendations for your space. Once I understand your budget, I can focus on creating a cohesive, thoughtfully designed look that fits your goals and priorities—without wasting time or resources.

7. Can I use some of my existing furniture and decor?

Yes, and I actually encourage it! Often, a few thoughtful updates and a fresh perspective are all it takes to make what you already own feel new again.
