I have worn many hats—community advocate, political campaigner, mentor, and consultant—but becoming an interior designer was something I never saw coming. That changed after I lost my husband, Jeffrey, to stomach cancer. He was an attorney with an incredible eye for design and detail. Our home was a reflection of his creative spirit—and after he passed, I found myself searching for something steady—something that brought comfort and a bit of beauty back into my life.

I left New York City and moved to Virginia, the place where I grew up, and began designing my new home from the ground up. What started as a deeply personal way to heal turned into something much bigger. I found comfort in color, purpose in pattern, and joy in creating living spaces that felt like they meant something. This journey led me to explore various design elements, from architectural details like wainscoting and crown molding to the warmth of wood floors.

One room, one paint swatch, and one pair of custom gray drapes later—I knew I was onto something more than just a fresh coat of paint. I was discovering my passion for timeless design and developing my own unique design aesthetic, which now includes everything from deco interiors to sustainable design practices.

I earned my Interior Decorating Certificate from the University of Richmond, joined the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), and began helping others bring their own stories to life through design. With 37 countries under my belt, I draw inspiration from everywhere—art, architecture, culture, and nature. I don't believe in decorating for fleeting home decor trends. As a professional interior designer, I design for how people live, feel, and grow, focusing on functional design that stands the test of time, whether it's creating an open floor plan or incorporating built-in storage solutions.

As an interior stylist, I work with clients, not around them, to decorate spaces that are thoughtful, personal, and functional - spaces that feel as good as they look.
